Jomtien Club House 16/09
A small group today for our Plutaluang outing. That was a shame as it was another really ideal golf day. Recent heavy rains over the last couple of days were cause for concern. As it turned out the concerns were unnecessary. There was some standing water in some of the bunkers. Not a real problem though. I was told the idea is to stay out of the bunkers and then they really are not a issue. Heck, I was also told it is better to play from the short grass called the fairways. Both really good suggestions that we tend to ignore.
The closest to the pins were easily taken today with Ken Price and Chuck Taylor each grabbing one each. There were only 4 of us in the competition today. Although the scoring was fairly close Mike J. Chitwood took the honors today with a respectably 36 points. Back at the clubhouse it was unanimous that it was another great outing and there is no where we would rather be than “Golfing in Thailand”.
