GROWLING SWAN.

STABLEFORD.

KING NAGA G.C. – 8th NOVEMBER, 2018.

“Shooter McGarvie Blitz’s the field”

A reasonable turnout of fifteen enthusiastic golfers, not to bad considering that it’s dead in Pattaya. Any quieter and one would think that the place was in mourning.

Well it’s Thursday and we are heading to King’s Naga for a game of pain & suffering that they call golf. Well everything worked in our favor, the course was a little wet in places so we went for LC&P, Lift clean and place on fairways to the Green! Carts were allowed on course.

The course was in good nic although there was little run, the greens were true and the bunkers were very hard due to the fact that there had been some rain in the recent days. This made life easier for one golfer who prefers to use his putter in the bunkers and one would say with a lot of success, and that of course is to do with the rains.

Four groups teed off on time and with only a group or two well front of us, we were not held up at all so a 2 hour round was on the cards. Although I did have to hurry my group along, I think that it was infatuation that slowed us down. Colm thought that he was seeing double, little did he realize or it took a bit off time for the penny to drop that he and Steve’s caddies were twins.

Well it was Bill “Shooter” McGarvie that stole the show, he’s return of forty two points left it hard for others to top, but a few tried, just fell a little short. Second home with another great score was Tony Cook followed closely by Lorraine Percy, both had excellent scores. Filling the last spot on the podium was Steve Younger.
