Growling Swan 4/1

CRYSTAL BAY – 4th Jan. 2017.

Well What Can I Say, “Three Corsets” Geoff Bracegirdle “To good on the Day”!!

Not a large turn out as we find this time of year, but all were anxious and optimistic golfers, we departed The Swan somewhat earlier than expected. All were ready for the days challenge to play at The Crystal Bay.

The weather threatening early and with the deluge last night we were not sure as to what we would get. We played C and B Nines in that order from the White tees. The course was in good nick and the weather gods smiled at us and kept the rain away.

We had seventeen golfers so we only played the One Division, we had four placing’s with all novelties in play!

It was Geoff Bracegirdle that was the winner on the day with a tidy 36 points, second past the post was decided by The Count Back System. Dave Maw edged out Bill Steinmann to take second. With Glenn Smith grabbing the last position on the podium!
