GROWLING SWAN 7/3

“Ian Ward came and saw and conquered.”

Fourteen golfers took up the challenge today at King’s Naga, only the one bus and a few cars were required to ferry this crowd out to the course. We had four last

Typical of our drivers they found an alternate root for us to travel on to King’s Naga. Well done Oy you are the best!

Well it’s Thursday and a game of pain & suffering called golf is about to begin. The course was in good nick and offered plenty of run. Although a little dry they were putting plenty of water on the course. Bunkers were clean and raked, Fairways tidy, but the greens I found to be a little slow. Putting close to the greens was a little difficult as the buffalo grass certainly took the speed from the ball. All in all if they improved the showers in the place I do believe that numbers would improve. It is priced right, and satisfies us B1090 all in is a great price, and that’s why we keep going!

Our tee time was to be 10am five groups teed off about 10 min earlier than our allotted tee time, and can say we were not held up at all. One flight with three placings and all novelties in play.

It was Ian Ward that took the prize, his return of 39 points that set him apart from the rest. Bernie McCart came into second spot with yet another reasonable score. We then had a bit of a log jam for the third place on the podium. Three golfers all returned with the same score only to be separated by The Count Back System! Keith Buchanan, got the nod over Dave Maw and Martin Todd!

Back at the Swan we had no welcomes as such but we did say goodbye to Don Richardson heading home after he’s allotted holiday. Take care Don we certainly hope you travel safe!

Once again Alex set D-For out amongst the throng to collect for the needy of Pattaya. It may be time to give D-For a spell as contributions are getting a little light.
