Growling Swan 28/11

John Anderson takes it by 6 points!

After a great turnout of about 30 players for the “Monthly Mug” on the previous Thursday, it was a little disappointing and just amazing that we could muster only 13 players on this day. Many Golf Bars have been praising the presentation and the well documented price of 1150 bht all in for Treasure Hill. Oh Well, for us who played, we had yet another great day of golf.

As mentioned, the course was in magnificent condition and our first group, a three ball, got away 30 minutes early. We came up behind a 2 ball, who were behind a 4 ball. Stayed in that order all game and finished the 18 holes in 3 and a half hours.  Well done to them and us!

One of our group, said afterwards that “My golf was terrible, but I had a nice relaxing day with good friends and happy caddies”. Isn’t that the way to play golf in this Golfer’s Paradise?

Only one Flight today, scores were low, as we normally expect at Treasure Hill, and only one player bettered his handicap. Here’s the finishing order.

1st..John Anderson (29)… 38 pts

2nd..JC Lhoste (28)…………32 pts  on a countback over

Back at “The Swan” we welcomed newcomer Toshi Kamikura and welcomed back Roger Rees.

Peter Grey conducted presentations with the usual hilarity (and backchat) to end a fun day out. (or was it just the beginning??)
