The Growling Swan 21/11

 Khao Kheow –Stableford

21st of November 2016.

Steve brakes the drought with a clean win!

We had 20 eager punters lining up at Soi Chaiyapoon to take on the not so easy but great conditioned course being Khao Kheow CC. Allocated the B & C nines in that order and hitting from the yellow tees in warm weather with a sometimes breeze, the course was found to be in superb condition with the greens putting truly.

We ran with 2 flights today, in A grade Steve Younger showed that the easiest way to win was not get caught up in a count back. His 36 points saw him a shot clear of both JJ Harney and Mashi Kaneta with both going to The Count Back to settle placings.

B grade saw Pat Kavanagh coming up trumps with a tidy 36 points. Followed by Mike Strage 1 point behind and Frank Riley a further 3 points behind..

Back at the Swan we had a few welcomes to go thru, some being welcome back and some being welcomes for the very first time and they were, David Streven, Dave Geddy, Arthur Anderson, Mike Strange, Marty Donjonosky Tony Cook, Gary Williams, Frank Riely and Terry Dreier. With all that no farewells.

D-For was paraded as per usual and happily accepted generous donations to charity and those who contributed are sincerely thanked. That money goes a long way here in Pattaya.
