MOUNTAIN SHADOW G.C. – 20th December, 2018.

PRH Grey.

“The Viper makes it 3 from 3, that’s the Hat Trick.”

Well started with 20 golfers, which is a better crowd for us, as tourism is reflected by the numbers getting out on the courses.

Mt Shadow was our destination for today’s pain and suffering, and yes I did venture out, a complete waste of time. Donated 6 balls to The Water Gods and a further 5 balls to The Rough!  Anyway the course was in good nick, not fantastic but good! We attacked the course from the White tees, greens were true (but Fast) and clean bunkers. As I found out if you ventured from the fairways you could find yourself in deep trouble.  There were no hold ups as yet again the course was near empty, no tourists!.

With today’s numbers we were able to play Two Flights with all novelties in play.

“A” Flight saw Mark Stapleton, The Viper, make it 3 from 3. A great effort Mark now the pressure is on for 4 in a row, good luck with that! Mark finished with a score of thirty seven points. Second past the post was Dave Maw two shots in arrears, Dave is still to hit the form that he left with earlier this year, but he is getting closer. Third home was Buffalo Bill Steinman giving away a few shots in the handicap stakes!

“B” Flight saw The Turtle not at all slow out of the blocks his score of 41 was the best by far on the day. Second home was Ever Green Patrick Poussier he finished 8 points behind todays leader. Third home was Roger Ellis slowly but surely getting into gear.

I find it very interesting that with the return of Kissy, Colin, did not appear in the placing’s, the only noticeable thing was that he knocked me from The Long Putt on the 18th. He in turn was relieved of this also!
