Growling Swan 17/11

Pleasant Valley GC – 17th of November 2014

Kae,Roy and Don Blitz the Field

Prior to tee off change room chatter included how one tormented soul had approached his local professional golfer mid week for a lesson.
The aforementioned gent had a practice swing and asked “what do you see”?

The response, “about fifteen mortgage payments”.

Wecomes were handed out to Ken Coenen from England and Aussies Frank Riley,Rob Davis,Leo Slager,Graham Clark and Terry Dreirer.

A Monday record of twenty eight players were sent on their way by the starter under warm and sunny conditions.

With the inclement weather experienced in and around Pattaya over the last two months, many golf courses have struggled as expected to be in top condition.

Pleasant Valley is no exception with the fairways being a bit soft and the greens despite putting ok, may take some time for the texture to come up to scratch.

In the A grade Don Richardson handed in forty points to win easily from Bill McGarvie on thirty seven and John Davis, thirty four.

The B grade saw lady golfer Kae, street the field with a stylish forty two points whilst Ted Morris and Mike Gosden both on thirty seven points filled out the minor placings.

C grade was won by Roy Dayton with forty points, John Anderson on thirty one and Patrick Poussier thirty points gained podium finishes.
