PSC GOLF REPORT.

GROWLING SWAN.

STABLEFORD.

TREASURE HILL G.C. – 17th December, 2018.

PRH Grey.

“The Viper, (Stapo) makes it Two from Two.”

We set out with thirteen golfers, one bus and a couple of cars were required to ferry us out to Treasure Hill. Not the easiest of courses but you only have to ask John Anderson, it is a good, well maintained Golf Course. Also priced quite reasonable!

Treasure Hill (for those who do not know) is home to what would be the most famous Par 5 in Pattaya, Crocodile Rock the 16th hole.

The course today was in Tip Top condition as always, everything was good, fairways, bunkers and greens everything was ripe for the pickings. The scores did not reflect that unfortunately there were some mediocre results.

With the numbers we would play One Flight with fthree placing’s, also all novelties were up for grabs!

It was “The Viper” Mark Stapleton that made it two from two with today’s result, Mark returned with a score of 35 points putting him one shot clear of his nearest rival. Colm Lawlor was beaten by the narrowest of margins, but the story goes that he had amassed 33 points with 4 holes still to play, then to be beaten by one point only!! A further point in arrears saw Dave Maw take out third position. All was very close at the top and then it went a little pear shaped!

In the photo we have from L to R; Colm Lawlor with today’s winner Mark Stapleton. Could that be Stuart casa Rifkin doing a photo bomb?

Back at the Swan we welcomed back Glenn Martin & JC LHoste. We had no Farewells as such but we will wish Frank Riley & John Coetzee a fond farewell.

The Viper set D-For from his chain to collect for the needy of Pattaya. We give thanks to those who choose to give. The Golfers and Punters from The Growling Swan are thanked for the generous efforts!

For serious golfing with a dash of fun, the Growling Swan welcomes golfers of all persuasions, be it young or old, male or female. We generally play on Mondays and Thursdays at any one of the fine courses around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey for bookings or any information on 086 1503 086.
