GROWLING SWAN.

STABLEFORD.

TREASURE HILL G.C. – 12th November, 2018.

“He’s Back, in the Winners Circle.” Steve Younger, was gone but never forgotten!

We started with 19 on the sheet, but ended up setting sail with 15 golfers!

Well we were off to Play Treasure Hill and of course take on The Infamous Crocodile Rock. What a great course and one would have to say what a great price. This is one of the courses that I think is starting to realize that pricing is important to us and High Season is fictitious to those that live here.

Treasure Hill we applaud you!

The Course was in fantastic condition, as you would expect nothing other than that from this venue. Fairways were in great shape the greens played true, bunkers clean and raked and the rough well it was the rough! We went from the Yellow tees and with the weather being on our side we were set for a good day out. (not counting ability)

We would play One Flight with four placing’s, also all novelties were up for grabs!

It was Steve Younger who shone at today’s event, back from Open Heart Surgery, A Hip and Knee replacement and one must not forget his shoulder reconstruction. He is now registered as Our Six Million Baht Man. All jokes aside Steve bought home the bacon with 40 points five clear of his next opponent. Second to greet the judges was Rod Weekes coming back to us in fine form. Third today and hitting a bit of a purple patch was Lorraine Percy who took that position on the podium from John Anderson (his fav course and caddy) via the count system.

In the photo we have from L to R; Rod Weekes, today’s winner Steve Younger and John Edwards. You may notice that 2 out of 3 are looking at the camera, the third person is checking out some eye candy! Good on you Rod!

Back at the Swan we welcomed back Jack Penny, Colm Mullen and Rudy Regenass. We then wished Lorraine Percy all the best as she is having a few weeks off to fix her eye sight. Cookie watch yourself!

Alex set D-For from his chain to collect for the needy of Pattaya. We give thanks to those who choose to give. The Golfers and Punters from The Growling Swan are thanked for the generous efforts!

For serious golfing with a dash of fun, the Growling Swan welcomes golfers of all persuasions, be it young or old, male or female. We generally play on Mondays and Thursdays at any one of the fine courses around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey for bookings or any information on 086 1503 086.
