“Alex Streets the Field!”

Well not that much to report as today’s field was not a very big one!

Either way we ventured out to Eastern Star to have a crack, cars were the mode of transport as we did not have enough to fill a bus. We have been getting mixed reports about Eastern Star, but from all reports on the day the course is in good nick and worth another venture down that way.

As stated course was in good condition so we attacked it from the Yellow tees (Lorraine from the Red) Fairways were mowed, Greens were good and bunkers had been raked. So we were set for a good day, all we needed was the weather to do its bit and everything was to be Cherry Ripe! “And it was.”

Alex started the day well and needless to say finished the day well. He came in 2 points clear of second and third, that being Mashi Kaneta and Lorraine Percy who were separated by the count-back system. Fourth past the post was Denis Steele one point behind second and third!

Eastern Star Winners:

1st – Alex Field (18) 34 Points.

2nd – Mashi Kaneta (14) 32 Points.

3rd – Lorraine Percy (36) 32 Points.

4th – Denis Steele (15) 31 Points.

We decided on no novelties today so the Near Pins and Long First Putts were left back at the Swan.

In the photo from L to R is; Mashi Kaneta, Lorraine Percy and todays winner Alex Field.

At presentations back at the Growling Swan our host Peter Grey had nobody to Welcome or farewell so his job was cut short. (May have to adjust his pay for that)

D-For “The Charity Dog” had another day off I think he is coming down with something, or he has been fooling around with one of those bitches down the Soi! (remember D-For is a Dog)

The GS is a “friendly” golf outlet and caters for and encourages all golfers, young and old, male or female to have a hit on any of our weekly outings. We generally play Mondays and Thursdays at one of the many fine golf courses in and around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey if you are interested in playing on 0861 503086.
