PSC GOLF REPORT.

GROWLING SWAN.

GREENWOOD. 1st of November 2018.

STABLEFORD.

PRH Grey.

TODAY’s CAPTAIN: The Right Honorable Eric Black. Dip Sc.

From “Last to First” in one week. Roger you champion!.

Well things are quiet and its official High Season Has Started! So prices can go up!

We headed to Greenwood today and I have to say pricing was not too bad considering. Fifteen Golfers were prepared to take the journey and throw caution to the wind.

Greenwood never disappoints us, a great course at a good price and with the weather we have been having this was in great condition. Everything was spot on and even the weather Gods smiled upon us with temperature being in our favor. A terrific day for Golf!

Courses C & A were allotted to us, we attacked from the White Tees! With few people on the course we were up and at it before our allotted time. Our numbers dictated that were playing One Flight only with all novelties in play.

Well I played last Monday with Roger Ellis and I have to say he had a Sav Rocca (a shocker) ending up with the most unattractive score for the day. I guess in a way I helped him as I am sure he looked what I had done and did the opposite.

Yes well you would have guessed it by now Roger was today’s winner beating Frank Mills in a count back. Both golfers greeted the judges with 38 points. Great golf by both players. Third and fourth went to the count back as well with Julian Preissinter and Masa Takano both returning with 36 points. Another two very good scores.

*** In reading the Captains log (this is completed after every round by the day’s captain) until today I had nothing to act upon. The following was bought to my attention.

For failing to leave “The Near Pin” marker, on A6. Should be a B100 fine levied on Group 1 .This fine can be suspended on condition of entering “A 6 month Good Behavior Bond” Still to be decided!

Meanwhile back at the Swan, our host Peter Grey welcomed back Steve Younger, Ray Cody, David Nicholson, JC Lhoste, Colm Lawlor and Julian Preissinter. Then unfortunately we bid farewell to Masa Takano, Ray Cody Frank Mills and Eddie Dejong.. We wish you all safe travel and hope to see you all again soon!

Alex Field paraded D-For around to collect contributions for the less fortunate children of Pattaya. Most golfers and the punters from the Swan are renowned for their generosity!

For serious golfing with a dash of fun (and compulsory sledging), the Growling Swan welcomes golfers of all persuasions, male or female. We generally play on Mondays and Thursdays at many of the fine courses around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey for bookings or any information on 086 1503 086.
