Growling Swan 01/12
Plutaluang – 1st December 2016
Frank Riley Sails into Navy Course with another Win, whilst JC Lhoste announces, “The Eagle has landed!”
It was a low number of seventeen golfers that ventured out to play The Big Navy Course. We requested and played North & West Nines, this of courses means to play their signature hole, The Lighthouse. “Why do we do these things.”
Conditions were perfect a slight breeze, a little bit of cloud cover and no sign of rain. We tackled the course from Yellow Tees which turned out to be long enough for golfers on the day.
Again I cannot wrap this course enough, it is in great condition and set out perfectly. The greens were sharp, the fairways had run and I am pleased to say the water holes were not too bad other than The Light House Hole, our group donated 6 balls to the water gods.
Frank Riley, who is going thru a purple patch, came up trumps yet again with a very good 39 points, Coming in second was Colin Steilow’s replacement Roger Ellis with The Eagle man J.C.Lhoste taking third spot and Glenn Henriksen filling the final spot on the podium.
If you are not aware by now JC Lhoste scored An Eagle on a par 4, a great effort JC. Well done.
