GOLF FROM CAFE KRONBORG
GORDON CLOBBERS ‘EM
The Kronborg people went to the Navy today to play the North and West nines. The greens today were not as fast as when we last played here but they were most welcome after the greens at Pattavia last week in the Club Championship.
The Cafe Kronborg are staunch supporters of PSC and its competitions and we provided not far short of 20% of the entrants for the two day event
Two members of our group excelled at the championship – Kenneth Masden and Gordon Clegg.
Kenneth Masden took five prizes – he was 2nd in the ‘C’ Flight on day one, 3rd in the ‘C’ Flight on day two and he won a longest drive and took two pins.I am told it is customary in Denmark to relieve a winner of the financial burden of the value of eighteen golf balls and two vouchers by ensuring the bar bill of a winner is substantial and Kenneth’s friends did not disappoint !!! Kenneth was still on form today and missed out on countback on 2nd place in the ‘A’ Flight but recovered a fraction of his Friday losses with his 36 points for third place.Ronnie Rattee today won the ‘A’ Flight with 37 points but Gordon Clegg clobbered us by winning the ‘B’ Flight with 39 points ( and 3 blobs) following his 42 points to win the ‘C’ Flight on the second day of the championship last week. The handicap secretary will no doubt have a lot to say when his new computer program is up and running.
Last week we said goodbye to Peter Bygballe and Kai Sabling and today we welcomed Jan Johansen, Torben Rasboel, Jan Neilson, Kjeld Jurgensen and the ever cheerful Takeshi.
