Pattana Sports and Country Club C & A
1st Robby Watts (9) 39 points
2nd Tony Robins (23) 38 points
3rd Stuart Brown (9) 36 points
Near pins Robby Watts, Michael Brett, and Stuart Brown X 2.
We continue to enjoy premium courses while low season pricing remains in place, today we had another visit to Pattana to play the C & A nines. On our last visit, the A nine was well below what we have come to expect, what a difference a few weeks make as today it was back to its best again, clearly, a bit of maintenance had taken place. The weather was fine with blue skies and a nice breeze blowing.
Robby Watts began a new week in fine style with an excellent round of thirty-nine points. Tony Robbins is finding some good consistency with a round of thirty-eight in second place, surely a cut in handicap is not far away. Stuart Brown took third with thirty-six, he also snagged a brace of near pins and almost had a third, the remaining two went to Robby Watts and Michael Brett. A disaster for Jimmy Carr as he lost all three sixes for the second day in a row
Wednesday, July 24th
1st Stuart Brown (8) 41 points
2nd Michael Brett (15) 39 points
3rd Les Cobban (7) 38 points
Near pins Stuart Brown. Rocky Ishikawa, Jimmy Carr, & Michael Brett.
Another visit to Greenvalley while low season pricing is in place. The course is now back to its best again and still uncrowded so a nice quick round again. Home course advantage was again evident with Stuart Brown, a club member taking first place with forty-one points. This is the third time in a row that Stuart has won playing with the Bunker Boys on his home course, could be we need to handicap him further to bring him back to the field. Even when he hits a wayward shot he seems to get a good result. Second place went to Michael Brett on thirty-nine points, and third to Les Cobban on thirty-eight. Near pins to Rocky Ishikawa, Jimmy Carr, and Michael Brett.
Friday, July 26th
1st Chris Delamare (1) 34 points
2nd Jimmy Carr (14) 33 points
3rd Robby Watts (8) 32 points
Near pins Robby Watts & Chris Delamare X 3.
Its been some time since our last visit to Royal Lakeside so it made a pleasant change to visit a course in superb condition, although it was a bit damp in places so we decided to apply the pick, clean, and place rule. It was unclear whether it was caused by overnight rain or overuse of the sprinkler system. The day was nice and sunny and as usual, at this course, the wind was up. This was the quietest we have ever seen the course, I believe there was another two ball somewhere on the course. Scoring was mediocre with Chris Delamare taking fist place with thirty-four points, Jimmy Carr was second on thirty-three, and Robby Watts brought up the rear with thirty-two points. Robby took one near pin and Chris three.
