24th PSC MEMBERS Championship Tuesday 6th and 8th March 2018 Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club

The Pattaya Sports Club Members Championship was held on the 6th and 8th March 2018 at Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club, with 65 golfers registered to play in the 2 day tournament. Although the numbers were lower than usual an exciting tournament followed. We believe the Club Championship is one of the most important tournaments of the year. With good support support this tournament could cater for up to 240 players. We booked for 120 players and PSC would like to give a hearty thank you to all the players who did turn up to play. The course was in good condition on the first day but alas there was some aerating work being carried out on the second day. On the Ocean Course we played the lift clean and place rule. The rain stayed away for the 2 days and I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

Many thanks to the Management & Staff of Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club for their assistance in a for their assistance in organising and supporting the event.

The presentation was held at the Billabong Bar on Mabprachan Lake with a very good turnout from the players who participated in the tournament, many thanks goes to Sandy Chapo and his staff for an enjoyable evening.

Ron Gale with the assistance of Nigel Cannon carried out the presentations and before announcing all the winner’s. Ron thanked all the players for playing in this event and  thanked all the PSC members who assisted in running the tournament namely, Ing Chaimonkon, Maurice Roberts, Dick Warberg, Paul Cornwell and Sandy McKay.  A great big thanks also goes to the girls in the PSC office for all their assistance in preparing the tournament. ,

Now to the results.

Prior to presenting the prizes Ron Gale the Golf Chairman advised that over the two day tournament the contestants would be eligible to one prize for the tournament, the technical prizes would be presented as listed as some of the pins had only one name on them in addition to the above I would like to make special mention to two items.

  1. John Gall played an exceptional shot on Par 3 Ocean No 7 on day 1 resulting in a hole in one, congratulations John
