Day 2 of the Christmas Open and we took 10 groups up to the always impressive
Bangpakong Riverside.
It was another action packed day with some fantastic scores in and very nearly another hole in 1 just inches short from Johnny Gray.
The golf course was in great shape the best it’s been for some time. It was perfect playing conditions again with bright sunshine and a gentle breeze.
We played the white tees at 6400 yards and as usual the scoring was very good
there were several eagles on the par 5 18th
One of them from the leader.
Today’s winner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and it’s great to see him back on the course after being very ill recently and playing great golf.
Congratulations to Frankie McCardle with a fantastic 43pts winning by 3 shots!
2 place went to that man again Rocky Jones with an incredible 40pts shooting 67 gross off a +1 handicap and Eagling the last to cement himself at the top of the leader board going into tomorrow.
3rd place was the inform Jim Kurzava also with 40pts just missing out to Rocky on a countback but still makes the a big move going into the final day.
