Week of low turn-out
On Tuesday we went to Crystal Bay to play a 5-ball. As usually we played the C & A course. We could see that rain does wonders at the course; it was all green again. The greens were good, but the back nine greens are faster than the front nine.
The weather was nice and not too hot.
The scores were not extraordinary, but we played a steady round. Mark Bromwich was the most consistent and won with 32 stable ford points. Allan Cassin was runner up with 30 points.
We skipped the near pins and the spoon today
On Thursday we visited with an exclusive 3-ball Pleasant Valley. The course was in good condition and very green. Some spots little bit too wet. The weather again nice and sunny. We hoped to make a quick round and the front nine was done fast, but after that we had to follow the speed of the course. Despite the low turn-out we had a nice day and kept clos together. At the end was it the experience of Dave Smith who took the lead. He won with 33 points. Willem Lasonder was runner up with 32 points.
Again, no near pins and spoon prizes.
