PSC Junior Golf Academy

Pattaya Sports Club Golf Academy 2010.

In line with the traditions of the Pattaya Sports Club in promoting sport, and my own personal wish to find a future champion. We have decided to start a Young Thai person Golf Academy. Qualification for the academy would be under 16 years of age and a Thai national

David Race a PGA professional at the Diana Driving Range has been approached to provide suitable tuition for up to 4 budding golfers, and to date we already have 2 golfers one female and one male.
Bifern aged 15 the female golfer is a caddy at Siam Old Course and having the benefit of being able to practice on a Monday at Siam when the course is closed, has already been able to reduce her handicap by 7 shots and David has high hopes for her continued improvement.
Vitoon aged 14 and a member of the Junior Thai Golf Association, has just had the one lesson to date and looking at his swing he certainly seems to have the right technique to do well.
The academy will run along the lines of 10 golf lessons followed by a period of time to let the individual put into practice what they have learnt . This will then be followed by a further set of lessons to brush up on any faults that may have developed.
Obviously the individual must have access to a golf course to be able to put into practice their lessons and I personally think that most academy members will be caddies or young players whose parents play golf.
Should you know of any budding golfers who fit the above criteria and show some real promise then please do not hesitate to contact me.
My personal thanks go to Ian Edwards for his interest in helping get the academy off the ground.

PSC President.
