A Milestone Achieved

PATTAYA SPORTS CLUB
HIT A MILESTONE

25 million baht donated to charitable causes, is a big milestone and that is just what Pattaya Sports Club (PSC) have recently achieved.

With 130,000 baht presented to Father Ray Foundation recently, Pattaya Sports Club reached the milestone of 25 million baht over the last 12 years thanks to all the members of PSC both past and present.

PSC was born in 1979 by a few Founding Members who had settled in the fishing village of Pattaya. There was only one bar in the main beach area, which became the home of the PSC, and Walking Street did not exist. With more tourists coming to Pattaya the PSC headquarters was moved to, what is now one of the oldest bars around, Cafe Kronborg in Soi Diana. The office is now just off 3rd Road in North Pattaya.
The main objective of PSC was to form a club whereby tourists wishing to play golf could meet other golfers. That has now been extended to other sports which includes soft ball, fishing, pool, bowling and darts.
Being a non profit organisation, each year the Pattaya Sports Club make substantial donations to charities that house, feed and take care of the essential needs of the handicapped and underprivileged. Funds have also provided scholarships to enable families to buy uniforms and books for their children. Sport is also an essential part of the PSC philosophy and donations are made regularly to promote sport in schools and centres in the area.
