Siam Country Resort 21/7

Wet courses

Tuesday 18th July we went to Pleasant Valley. We welcomed today 2 guestplayers from Qatar, the family Garvey. When we drove to Pleasant Valley the weather looked good. It is always a question why you have to start many times on hole 10. Most of us don’t like to start there. The course was not too bad after all the rain in the night before. During our game the clouds came back and we needed a rain stop. The results were surprising. Our top players had too much problems with unstable circumstances. No high scores, but reasonable results regarding the conditions. Winner today Stephen Ford with 33 stable ford points. Second with 29 stable ford points was Stan Rees, beating Daniel Oshiro on the count back.

The nears to the pin were for Dan Garvey, Dave Smith, Daniel Oshiro and Stephen Ford.

On Thursday 20th July we drove in the rain  to Treasure Hill. We were a little bit afraid we would have a rainy day, but arriving at the course the rain stopped. The course was in a good condition, even after all the rain. The greens were in very good shape. Our toppers recovered today and played an thrilling game. It was Dave Smith with a smashing second shot on the last hole, who won today with 37 stable ford points. He beat Neil Harvey on the count back.

The nears to the pin were twice for Dave Smith.
