"Three Sisters wound up the month with a bevy of players at the top. Faced with a sky full of blue plus many cumulus clouds, our stalwart players began teeing off at 0630. Unfortunately some of the players were looking at those beautiful clouds just as their club head was about the meet the little white orb. The course was in fine condition but many of the greens had a coating of morning dew which made judging putts a bit difficult early on. On the other hand you were able to see where very early birds had missed the hole.
Four players came in with 35 points, Sus Ige captured the lead with an 18 on the count back. The cards of John Christie, Bob Benda and Walt Straub had to be examined closely as the countback went from the back nine to the back six to the final two. Finally it was John Christie who came on on top to take second place. The rest of the field followed. Back at Caddy Shack II Herbie had furnished our favorite spicy hot sausages as well as the more familiar hot dogs. The girl at CS II must have forgotten to monitor the dogs as quite a few were a bit over cooked. Nonetheless, a great day was had by all and Sus gets his name engraved on the Monthly Winner trophy.
