Treasure Hill ( Stableford) The Treasure Hill Golf and Country Club was Host to a Stableford Competition in two Flights with the cut at Handicap 19. The Course on the day was wet due to rains over the weekend and some of the greens have been top dressed.

Phoenix (Stableford) So off we went to Phoenix to play the Mountain and Lakes Nines. The Mountain was in it's usual fine condition and players scored well on what is normally the hardest of the three Nines, but once we started the Lakes Nine it became apparent why it had been closed the previous week, when we found the greens were 'Bouncy, Bouncy. It happens but I think a few days more would have seen it in better condition.

he dawn was beautiful as the first group of Three Sisters players teed off at the Pattaya Country Club, Tuesday, 23 September. Initially the moning dew kept the fairway rolls short and the putting greens a bit tough. It didn't take long for Father Sun to do his work.

The sky was gray and a persistent light rain was falling as the stalwart gang of Three Sisters players teed off at the Pattaya Country Club on Sep 16th. The rain was light enough not to interfere with play but enough to slow the ball on the greens.

Khao Kheow This was planned to be a fairly normal Monthly
Tournament, with the first two Men's Flights playing 'Medal'
and the remainder playing Stableford. In the long run it was
close to torture as only one person on the day broke his
handicap.

With the booking at Green Valley confirmed well in advance there was no problem with The Bunker Boy’s teeing off on time today! There was one small snag though, the weather, after completing just over half of the round the heaven’s opened and there were small streams running down the fairways and the greens resembled mini lakes so the competition had to be abandoned.

A generous gaggle of golfers met early Tuesday at Bert's, but Bert was still sleeping and missed their landing and subsequent takeoff for Pattana Golf Course. They charged out of town dodging the friendly enforcers of the lower speed limits and Pattana silently hailed their arrival.

Fifteen warriors met at Bangpra Tuesday morning and were thrilled with the newly renovated clubhouse and luxurious new change rooms. As we tee-ed off, the weather was sunny and it was pleasing to behold a green course, which had been rather brown and dry just a few months ago.

Khao Kheow ( Stableford) The Pete Dye designed Khao Kheow A & B Layouts were the Host to Stableford Competition where once again the Course was the ultimate winner. We started out with relatively dry conditions but there was thunder in the area. After about 8 holes however a storm came in and we had to stop for about 40 minutes.

"The famous "weather controllers" of Three Sisters Golf group failed to perform on 2 Sep at Pattaya Country Club as the the skies opened up and the lightning flashed. The day began with a bit of fog that quickly cleared up only to be followed by a slight drizzle.

Plutaluang ( Stableford) If there is one thing that really excites me it is playing Plutaluang. There, now I can tell the truth. This is a 36 holes that varies greatly depending on which 18 holes you play, and what condition the Course is in. The last time I played it, to put it politely, it was in the process of maintenance, so what would this day bring.

"Three Sisters wound up the month with a bevy of players at the top. Faced with a sky full of blue plus many cumulus clouds, our stalwart players began teeing off at 0630. Unfortunately some of the players were looking at those beautiful clouds just as their club head was about the meet the little white orb.

On Monday we were meant to play Green Valley but on arrival at the course the wonderful staff insisted we did not have a booking, considering it is a Thai lady who makes our bookings there every month you couldn’t even use the language barrier as an excuse.

This year, the sky was clear and the temperature was warm early but warmed up even more until the afternoon clouds gave a little relief to the largest ever number of congenial golfers that have supported this most worthy of causes, for the St. Camillus Foundation which runs the Camillian Social Center – A relief center for HIV/AIDs people, just out of Banchang, in Rayong.

Now that most of the work has been finished Bang Pra is a pleasure to play and the changing rooms and clubhouse are superb. Playing a Medal round John Hughes took advantage of a relatively low turn out to win with a level par round a shot ahead of PJ Redmond who was a further shot ahead of third placed Tony Robbins.

It was close between the leaders today at the Emerald but Alan Sullivan just pipped John McDonald by one shot to win with a fine three under par net 69 and Ken Chung got in the frame for the first time to take third place.
Ken and Alan won a near pin prize too along with Gerry Cooney and Mick Benton.
