GROWLING SWAN GOLF REPORT

STABLEFORD

CRYSTAL BAY GC – April 6th 2017.

Colm Losses the Light House but Finds the Finishing Line First!…………

James Olsen.

It was fifteen eager players that gathered at The Growling Swan anticipating the challenge set out for them in today’s event. We were heading up the highway to play Crystal Bay (one of our favorite courses) as today is a public holiday but we were able to negotiate a great price for the day!

The weather looked as though we were in for a pleasant day for golf although the weather maps were forecasting rain throughout the region. As per usual the course was in tip top condition, fairways gave some run and the greens were up to speed. In other words Crystal bay was spot on! W attacked the course playing B & C nines (in that order) from the yellow tees.

Our resident hound D-For once again was on hand to collect donations for the needy children of Pattaya and the golfers & punters are thanked for the contributions.

A side note; todays winner was asked when leaving The Big Navy Course Monday, did you play The Light House Hole a good par 3 with a full size Light house at the back of the green. His answer was,” We did not play we must have played another 9”.

For serious golfing with a dash of fun, the Growling Swan welcomes golfers of all persuasions. We generally play on Mondays and Thursdays at any one of the fine courses around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey for bookings or any information on 086 1503 086.
