Monday 11th August
Bang Pra
1st John Hughes (15) net 72
2nd PJ Redmond (20) net 73
3rd Tony Robbins (12) net 74
Now that most of the work has been finished Bang Pra is a pleasure to play and the changing rooms and clubhouse are superb. Playing a Medal round John Hughes took advantage of a relatively low turn out to win with a level par round a shot ahead of PJ Redmond who was a further shot ahead of third placed Tony Robbins.
PJ and Tony also won one of the technical prizes and Colin Greig took the only other one.

2nd PJ Redmond (20) 35 points

Another small field today saw Alan Sullivan take the honours in a Stableford comp with 38 points and PJ Redmond was once again bridesmaid scoring 35 points well ahead of Jim Wooler’s 32 points. Only three par three greens were hit again with two of the prizes going to competition winner Alan and the other one being taken by Peter Habgood.
Friday 15th August
Mountain Shadow
1st Lee Butler (20) 41 points
2nd Gerry Cooney (10) 37 points
3rd Geoff Cox (13) 34 points
4th Alan Sullivan (13) 32 points
Usually the narrow fairways and abundance of trees poses plenty of problems at Mountain Shadow but they didn’t for Lee Butler. Playing Stableford again Lee scored a massive 43 points to win by a mile, Gerry Cooney was the only one anywhere near him with 38 points and third place went to Tony Robbins who scored 36 points.
All the par three greens were hit today and the near pin prizes went to Art Benavidez, Gerry Cooney, John Hughes and Peter Habgood.
