THREE SISTERS - RAINPROOF?

At 0530 on Tuesday, 30 September the streets were still wet, the rain had just stopped and the sky was full of omnious dark clouds. The Three Sisters gang proceeded to the Pattaya Country Club knowing full well that the weather was under control. As the first group teed off at 0615 the fairways were very wet and little fairway roll was to be had. The greens were wet but the intermittent sun dried them in good order.

Later a combination of warm sun and a brisk breeze completely dried the course. As the groups finished and repaired to Caddy Shack II for some of Herbie Ishinaga's regular and "spicy" sausages, the leaders were indentified as Sus Ige (36) and Brian Orr (33). A photo was taken of the winner and runner up but alas, late comers began filtering in with knock out scores. Bill Thompson showed up with a 36 as did Larry Ball but on the count back, Bill took first place. Both knocked off Sus on the count back. As it is the end of the month, Bill gets to have his name engraved on the Three Sisters trophy. With sympathy for the earlier "winners", the new "winners" posed for the camera. No hard feelings as everyone has a few SMLs and Herbie's sausages.
