Green Valley
With the booking at Green Valley confirmed well in advance there was no problem with The Bunker Boy’s teeing off on time today! There was one small snag though, the weather, after completing just over half of the round the heaven’s opened and there were small streams running down the fairways and the greens resembled mini lakes so the competition had to be abandoned.
Reg Smart was particularly disappointed as he had five pars on the front nine for the first time in his life, anyway, more time available to play in Ban Chang!

Pattana Golf and Sports Resort
1st Tony Robbins (hcp 12) 36 points
2nd JJ Harney (hcp 11) 35 points
3rd John McDonald (hcp 6) 30 points
The low handicappers came into their own on this testing course which saw Tony Robbins take the honours beating JJ Harney by just the one point and John McDonald took third place with a pretty decent 30 points playing off a handicap of 6.
Tony made it a very profitable day by winning two of the near pin prizes, JJ won one as well and the last one went to William Macey.

Laem Chabang Golf Club
The regular golfer’s from The Bunker participated in the Pattaya Sports Club monthly competition for a change taking advantage of playing one of the better courses in the area for a bargain 1700 Baht.
Duncan Lee won a trophy for finishing third in the C Flight and Russell Warner holed a birdie 2 at the 8th on the B Course to win a prize. Two other players got in on the act by winning the longest putt in their respective flights, William Macey in the A Flight and David Johnson in the D Flight who putted out from all of eighteen inches we hear, both on the 9th hole on the B course.
All in all another peculiar week here in golfer’s paradise!
