Khao Kheow ( Stableford) This was to be my first game back after spending a wet and windy month in the U.K., and I came back to the last game of the Month with those perennial winners McNeely and Warberg locked in a tussle with Steve Hamstad for the win, and the test was to be K.K., now that was going to be fun.

 Early morning at Bert's is always fun, with a fine breakfast at 'Golfers' rate, and free tea and coffee, then off to the transport and down to K.K., where the test was to be the C & A Nines in that order, now that is a tough test, and to cap it all we had a strong wind and high, humid, temperatures to contend with. With the rain of late we also had little run on the fairways. This was going to be a really tough day.

 Of course it was a tough day, K.K. really screwed us to the floor and as usual beat us 20 to nil. So which amongst these valiant golfer would rise to the top, well back at Bert's we would find out.

 Back at Bert's drinking a cold one or two the whole sad truth took place, however we all know a score approaching net par can win, and the winner on the day was Bill Knight with a good for K.K., 35 Points. Well done Bill. We then had a three way countback on 34 Points that saw Dick Warberg in second, Anders Pederson in third and Badger in fourth.

 How did this equate to 'The Alan Bolton Golfer of the Month', well with Dick winning the countback it just allowed him to become Golfer of the Month. Lose the countback and we would have our usual, of late, winner. Well done Dick, and thanks for standing in for the last month.   T.T.F.N.
